Housekeeper/Companion job (M/F) in Lisbon, Portugal
Job description
A person residing in the greater Lisbon area, Portugal, is looking for a versatile, caring and trustworthy Housekeeper/Companion (M/F), capable of ensuring both the smooth running of the home and providing human and logistical support on a daily basis.
The role involves regular travel to France. A high degree of maturity, strong listening skills and a genuine ability to bring calm and reliability to everyday life will be essential qualities for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Full housekeeping: upkeep of the villa, laundry and ironing
- Preparation of light daily meals
- Shopping and supply management
- Driving Madam for her appointments and errands (driving licence mandatory)
- Liaising with external staff (gardener, pool technician) and contacting service providers
- Accompanying Madam during travel between Portugal and France
- Day-to-day logistical support, providing a reassuring and reliable presence
- Occasional assistance during family gatherings (3 to 4 times per year, 7 to 8 people)
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will be a mature, discreet and deeply humane individual, equally at ease with practical tasks and compassionate companionship.
- They will know how to build a relationship of trust, respect Madam's privacy and integrate harmoniously into her daily life.
- Autonomous and well-organised, they will be able to anticipate needs without waiting for instructions and demonstrate good physical fitness in order to carry out all duties with ease.
- Experience working with demanding private individuals will be appreciated.
- Fluency in both French and Portuguese is essential, as is a valid driving licence.
- Experience in a UHNW environment is mandatory.
Work conditions
- Location: Lisbon, Portugal
- Accommodation: Option of a fully equipped 150 m² apartment within the villa
- Hours: Full-time, 35–40 hours per week, ideally 6 days per week, flexible
- Start date: As soon as the right candidate is found
- Contract type: Fixed-term contract (CDD) for the first three months, renewable, then permanent contract (CDI) ideally
