Head Housekeeper job (M/F) in Paris, France
Job description
Our client residing in the 1st arrondissement of Paris is looking for a House Manager (M/F) with a mandatory background in luxury hospitality, Parisian palace hotels or a high-end private residence, to take full charge of the upkeep of their main residence of approximately 200 m².
This role is exclusively aimed at a seasoned professional whose experience in exceptional environments is proven and verifiable. Confirmed expertise in ironing quality garments and fine pieces noble fabrics, delicate textiles and exceptional items is mandatory and non-negotiable.
Autonomy, absolute rigour, attention to detail and total discretion are the cornerstones of this role. Any application that does not meet these criteria will not be considered.
This is a full-time permanent position (CDI), available from September 2026.
Responsibilities
Property Upkeep
- Thorough and meticulous cleaning of the apartment: floors, surfaces, vacuuming, dusting, windows, etc.
- Regular upkeep of exterior areas: balcony/terrace
- Neat and harmonious organisation of wardrobes and dressing rooms
- Immediate reporting of any malfunction or anomaly to the employer
Linen Management
- Washing, careful ironing and storing of laundry
- Knowledge of delicate fabrics and high-end garments handled with the utmost care
Shopping & Logistics
- Shopping at local retailers near the property
- Errand running: dry-cleaning, post office, pharmacy, etc.
- Management and restocking of cleaning product supplies
- Welcoming external contractors when necessary
Monitoring & Reporting
- Regular, clear reporting to the employer
- Rigorous and transparent tracking of expenses structured and timely submission
Cooking — A valued asset
- A genuine advantage if the candidate can cook dinner preparation only, followed by full kitchen clean-up after service (no table service required)
Requirements
We are looking for a rigorous, autonomous and trustworthy professional someone who embodies excellence in private household service with an irreproachable attitude at all times.
- Verifiable professional references required
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Parisian palace hotel, 5-star establishment or high-end private residence applications from non-luxury backgrounds will not be considered
- Fluent French essential strong command both spoken and written
- Keen eye for detail, thoroughness and precision in all circumstances
- Autonomy, versatility and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Absolute discretion and strict respect for confidentiality
- Attitude of excellence: impeccable know-how and conduct
- Attentive, respectful of the employer's instructions and daily routines
- Immaculate personal presentation at all times: attire, hair, nails, shoes
Work conditions
- Contract: Permanent (CDI) – full-time
- Working hours: Flexible depending on the selected profile to be defined with the client

- Probationary period: 1 month, renewable
