Job description

Our client, a private family based in Kuwait, is seeking a highly experienced, dedicated, and professional Governess/Nanny to provide exceptional care and early developmental support for their 2-year-old son.

Due to a recent change in the family's plans, the successful candidate will initially be based with the family in London, as the family will be residing there for some time.

The Governess/Nanny will accompany the family and return to Kuwait whenever required, depending on the family's schedule. The candidate must therefore be comfortable with frequent international travel and relocating between London and Kuwait.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in the child's early years, ensuring a nurturing, structured, and stimulating environment that promotes both emotional security and cognitive development.

This is a long-term position requiring someone who is passionate about early childhood education and capable of combining educational guidance with hands-on childcare in a warm and engaging manner.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full care and supervision for a 2-year-old child.
  • Support early learning and developmental milestones.
  • Introduce and develop the child's English language skills (the child currently speaks Arabic and is being introduced to English).
  • Plan age-appropriate educational and play-based activities.
  • Support the child's emotional, social, and cognitive development.
  • Assist with daily routines.
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and stimulating environment.
  • Communicate regularly with the parents regarding the child's progress and development.
  • Travel internationally with the family between London and Kuwait as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Governess, Nanny, or Early Years Educator.
  • British passport required.
  • Strong background in early childhood development.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Warm, patient, and child-focused personality.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Professional and well-presented.
  • Flexible and willing to be based in London initially and relocate to Kuwait as
  • required by the family.
  • Open to candidates based overseas.

Work conditions

  • Working Hours: 7–8 hours per day.
  • Working Days: 5 days per week.
  • Accommodation: Live-in or live-out, depending on the candidate's preference and the family's location.
  • Meals provided by the family.
  • Primary Work Location: Initially London, United Kingdom, with travel and relocation to Kuwait as required.
  • Start Date: ASAP

Benefits

  • Visa sponsorship provided for the applicable country of employment.
  • Comprehensive medical insurance.
  • Annual return flight ticket.
  • Initial relocation expenses sponsored by the family.

Salary

The salary budget is flexible and will depend on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
