An adventurous, dynamic family in Franklin, Tennessee is seeking an experienced Governess to join them on their travels while providing comprehensive education to their three children ages 8-11.

Responsibilities
- Provide academic instruction to three children during morning sessions, following a structured curriculum
- Teach life skills, music, language, culture, and manners during afternoon sessions
- Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate various travel destinations and cultural experiences
- Implement traditional teaching methods and instill strong values in the children
- Adapt educational activities to accommodate the family’s travel schedule
- Maintain high academic standards while fostering a love of learning
- Incorporate physical fitness activities into the daily routine
- Travel with the family and ensure educational continuity across locations
- Monitor and document each child’s academic progress and personal development
- Coordinate the educational resources and materials needed for remote teaching
Requirements
- Qualified, experienced Governess with formal teaching qualifications and a strong background in traditional education
- Self-motivated go-getter with excellent organizational skills
- Comfortable working with a dynamic schedule and frequent travel
- Experience developing comprehensive curricula
- Firm but fair approach to discipline
- Physically fit and culturally aware
- Expertise in multiple educational areas, including academics, music, and languages
- Adaptable, resourceful, and capable of maintaining educational excellence in various environments
- Strong communication skills, professional maturity, and the ability to work independently
- Please note: this is primarily a teaching position, not a nanny role
Work conditions
- Based in Franklin, Tennessee, with the flexibility of live-in or live-out accommodation
- Significant domestic and international travel with the family, currently twice per year with plans to increase
- Dynamic schedule to accommodate the family’s active lifestyle and travel commitments
