Job description

A family is seeking an experienced Governess / Housekeeper to manage and maintain two properties in Gstaad (an apartment and a chalet with garden).

This is a long-term position requiring a high level of autonomy, discretion, and responsibility, working in coordination with the family office.

Responsibilities

  • Full and detailed housekeeping of both properties to high standards.
  • Laundry management (care, organisation, hotel-level standards).
  • General household management: stock, supplies, equipment.
  • Coordination of external contractors and service providers.
  • Oversight of the properties when the family is away.
  • Preparation of the residences prior to family stays.
  • Discreet and efficient presence during occupancy.
  • Occasional errands and household-related shopping.
  • Seasonal management of the chalet (preparation, maintenance coordination, adjustments).
No cooking is required, but strong attention to presentation, service quality, and discretion is essential.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in high-end private households.
  • Strong organisational skills and autonomy.
  • High level of reliability and discretion.
  • Ability to liaise with a family office.
  • Driving licence and own vehicle required.
  • Non-smoking environment, no pets.
  • EU passport or valid Swiss work permit.
  • Languages: English and/or Italian required, French and/or German appreciated.
  • Knowledge of the Gstaad area is a plus.

Work conditions

Salary

CHF 55,000 to CHF 65,000 gross per year, depending on profile and experience
