Job description
We are seeking an experienced, hardworking, and reliable Gardener for a large private farm located in Al Bahia, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The successful candidate will be responsible for both landscaping and ornamental garden maintenance, as well as agricultural gardening, including growing and maintaining fruits, vegetables, crops, trees, and other plants.
The Gardener will work as part of an existing team to ensure that the farm's landscaped gardens and agricultural areas are properly maintained.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience in both landscaping and agricultural gardening, preferably within large private farms, estates, or similar properties.
Responsibilities
- Maintain landscaped gardens, lawns, ornamental plants, flowers, and trees.
- Perform regular watering, pruning, trimming, weeding, and fertilising.
- Plant, grow, and maintain vegetables, fruits, and other agricultural crops.
- Prepare soil, plant seeds, and assist with harvesting farm produce.
- Monitor plant health and manage pests and diseases.
- Operate and maintain irrigation systems and gardening equipment.
- Keep gardens, agricultural areas, and outdoor spaces clean and organised.
- Work collaboratively with other gardeners and farm staff.
- Perform other gardening and farm maintenance duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Gardener, Landscape Gardener, Agricultural Gardener, or similar
position. - Experience in both landscaping and agricultural gardening is required.
- Good knowledge of ornamental plants, trees, vegetables, fruits, and crop cultivation.
- Experience in planting, pruning, fertilising, soil preparation, and harvesting.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems, gardening tools, and landscaping equipment.
- Knowledge of plant care, pest control, and disease prevention.
- Experience working in large private farms, estates, or villas is preferred.
- Familiarity with gardening practices suitable for the UAE's climate is an advantage.
- Physically fit and capable of performing outdoor work.
- Hardworking, reliable, responsible, and attentive to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good English communication skills are preferred.

Work conditions
- Position: Full-time, live-in
- Location: Al Bahia, Abu Dhabi, UAE
- Accommodation: Provided by the employer
- Working Days: 6 days per week, with 1 day off
- Rest Day Compensation: Any weekly rest days worked will be financially compensated
in accordance with applicable UAE labour regulations. - Working Hours: Based on the farm's daily operational requirements.
- Start Date: ASAP. Candidates who can start immediately are preferred. However,
exceptional and highly experienced candidates with a notice period of up to one month
may also be considered. - UAE Employment Visa: Provided by the employer
- Medical Insurance: Provided by the employer
- Work Environment: Large private farm with an existing gardening and maintenance team.
