Job description
For a forest property located near Lisieux (Calvados - 14), we are looking for a Gardener/Factotum (M/F) responsible for maintaining the grounds, ensuring the proper upkeep of equipment, and assisting the forestry worker.
This is a permanent position (CDI) available immediately. No accommodation is provided.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance of the property's surroundings (weeding, moss removal, blowing, sweeping, raking, etc.).
- Maintenance of green spaces and the garden (mowing, pruning, planting, topiary, watering, digging, hoeing, etc.).
- Monitoring plant health and growth, identifying diseases and managing treatment programmes.
- Maintenance of machinery and tools.
- Minor repairs and odd jobs (painting, varnishing, basic electrical work, etc.).
- Assistance to the forestry worker (wood cutting, forest maintenance, wood. collection and storage, etc.).
- Reporting to the Estate Managers.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar professional environment.
- Autonomous, dynamic and well-organised.
- Good knowledge of plants and vegetation.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a small team.
- Discretion with regard to the employer.
- French-speaking.
- Driving licence required.
Work conditions
- Location: Near Lisieux (Calvados - 14), France
- Start Date: As soon as possible
- Contract Type: Permanent (CDI) – 35 hours/week
- Working Hours: To be defined
Salary
€2,690–€2,950 gross/month (depending on profile)
