Full-Time Nanny job (M/F) in Mallorca, Spain
Job description
A family based in Mallorca is seeking an experienced, French-speaking Nanny / Family Assistant to join their fully staffed household on a long-term basis.
This is a full-time position within a highly organised, team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will work alongside two other nannies and support three children in a structured yet warm household where communication, collaboration, and consistency are highly valued.
The role offers significant international travel, including extended stays in Canada and regular time aboard the family’s sailing yacht. It is ideally suited to a flexible, adventurous professional seeking a stable, long-term position within a private family.
Responsibilities
- Providing attentive, nurturing childcare for all three children.
- Supporting the linguistic development of the youngest child by speaking only French.
- School and activity drop-offs and pick-ups.
- Assisting with homework and age-appropriate, developmentally engaging activities.
- Supporting healthy routines, outdoor play and an active lifestyle.
- Running errands, grocery shopping and light meal preparation for the children and the family.
- Helping to keep the household tidy and organised (cleaners employed; no deep cleaning required).
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the household, particularly during periods of travel or when the father is away.
- Collaborating closely with the other nannies to ensure consistency and continuity of care.
- The family splits time between Mallorca and Vancouver, Canada, spending 1–2 months overseas at a time.
- Extensive travel during summer (approximately 3 months), as well as Christmas and Easter.
- Regular time spent aboard the family’s large sailboat.
- Holiday time is shared between the three nannies, with travel often split so that two nannies accompany the family.
- No prior criminal convictions worldwide that would restrict international travel.
- Partners, family members and pets cannot be accommodated in any housing provided by the family.
Requirements
- Native or fluent French speaker.
- Fluent English.
- Proven experience as a nanny in a private household or as a teacher abroad.
- Confident driver with a valid driving licence.
- Valid passport.
- Comfortable with long-term international travel.
- Comfortable on a boat and an experienced swimmer.
- Flexible, organised, proactive, and calm.
- Warm, professional, and highly team-oriented.
- Adventurous, adaptable and looking for a long-term role to grow with the family.
Work conditions
- Location: Mallorca, Spain (with extensive international travel)
- Schedule: Full-time, 5 days per week with rotating shifts
- Alternating shifts:
- Morning: 7:30 – 14:30
- Afternoon: 12:30 – 20:30
- Weekend: 10:00 – 18:00
- Accommodation: Live-out, shared 3-bedroom apartment with two nannies
- Transport: Access to two SUVs for nanny use
- Start Date: ASAP
- Flexibility required, including occasional later finishes
