Job description

Our client in St. Petersburg, FL. is seeking a warm, nurturing, experienced, and energetic Nanny to join a family with a 14-month-old child.

The ideal candidate will be a passionate caregiver who is also organized and efficient with household tasks for this long-term permanent live-in position.

Responsibilities

Childcare:

  • Provide loving and attentive care to a 14-month-old child.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate activities, including reading, playing, and outdoor activities.
  • Assist with meal preparation, bath time, and bedtime routines.
  • Transport children to and from activities, and appointments.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for the child.
  • Foster their social, emotional, and cognitive development.

 

Light Housekeeping:

  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to the children, such as laundry, tidying play areas, and preparing meals for the child.
  • Light housekeeping, picking up around the house, some light cooking and assist with running some errands as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6-7 years of experience as a Nanny or in a childcare setting.
  • Experience caring for children of similar ages (14-month).
  • CPR and First Aid certified.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility with schedule to work varying hours, and weekends.
  • Some domestic travel.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Montessori or Waldorf education.
  • Knowledge of child development.
  • Background in early childhood education.
