Full-Time Housekeeper/Cook job (M/F) in Dubai, UAE
Job description
A private household in Al Barari is seeking a professional and experienced Live-In Housekeeper/Cook to prepare daily meals for one principal and his parents while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all common areas within the home.
The role requires strong cooking skills, attention to detail in housekeeping, and the ability to manage daily household routines efficiently. While primary care is handled by caregivers, the candidate may occasionally provide light assistance to the parents when required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare daily meals for the principal and his elderly parents.
- Cook fresh, balanced, and nutritious meals with attention to taste and presentation.
- Prepare basic home-style dishes while ensuring quality and flavour.
- Demonstrate knowledge of international cuisines.
- Lebanese cuisine experience is considered a strong advantage.
- Follow recipes accurately and adapt meals according to preferences or dietary needs.
- Manage grocery lists and coordinate kitchen supplies as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times.
- Clean and maintain all common areas of the home, including: Living rooms; Dining areas; Guest bathrooms; Kitchen; Hallways and shared spaces
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies when required.
- Maintain discretion and respect the privacy of all household members.
- Provide occasional assistance to caregivers when required (e.g., helping guide parents upstairs/downstairs).
- Offer light support such as assisting them to the bathroom if urgently needed.
- This is not a caregiving role but requires patience, attentiveness, and compassion.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a housekeeper and cook in a private household.
- Strong cooking skills with knowledge of international and Asian cuisine.
- Lebanese cuisine experience is a bonus.
- Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
- Experience working in homes with elderly individuals is advantageous.
- Ability to follow instructions and manage time efficiently.
- Trustworthy, discreet, and respectful of household privacy.
- Physically fit and able to manage cleaning duties.
- Positive attitude, calm temperament, and professional presentation.
Work conditions
- Accomodation: Live-in
- Work Schedule: 6 days per week, 1 day off.
- Location: Al Barari, Dubai
