Job description

A prominent VVIP family based in Lahore, Pakistan, who own multiple properties, is seeking a skilled Gardener to manage and maintain the gardens at their main estate.

The family has a total staff of 40–50 across all properties, including multiple local gardeners and maintenance staff
(around 10 or more) at the main estate.

The Gardener will be responsible for landscaping, lawn care, plant maintenance, and irrigation, while leading and organizing the local gardening team. This role will report directly to the House Manager.

The family is also expanding their European staff team, including positions such as House Manager, Housekeeper, Private Chef, Gardener, and Waitress, to supervise and guide the local and other Asian staff.

European passport holders are preferred for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the team of local gardeners and maintenance staff.
  • Maintain and enhance the estate’s gardens, lawns, and landscaping features.
  • Manage irrigation systems and ensure efficient water distribution.
  • Oversee seasonal planting, pruning, fertilization, and pest control.
  • Operate and maintain gardening equipment; additional tools or machinery required will be provided.
  • Organize and coordinate tasks for the gardening team to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Maintain high standards of garden presentation and care.
  • Collaborate with household management and report to the House Manager on garden operations, projects, and staffing.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality, professionalism, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • European passport holder preferred.
  • Proven experience as a professional gardener.
  • Strong knowledge of landscaping, lawn care, plant health, and irrigation systems.
  • Experience leading and training local gardening staff.
  • Reliable, highly organized, and strong work ethic.
  • Discreet, loyal, and professional in conduct.
  • Flexible and adaptable; working hours may vary depending on estate needs.

Work conditions

  • Private accommodation provided (including attached bathroom).
  • Meals provided.
  • Working hours: 8–10 hours per day (flexibility required).
  • Schedule: 6 days per week, 1 day off.
  • Flights covered for initial relocation.
  • Work visa and medical insurance provided.
  • Annual leave flight ticket provided.
