Job description
As part of the management of a private forest property located near Lisieux, we are looking for a Forestry Worker (M/F) to handle forestry management, the maintenance of outdoor areas and equipment upkeep.
Solid experience in lumberjacking is essential for this role.
This is a permanent position (CDI) available immediately. No accommodation is provided.
Responsibilities
Forestry Management
- Lumberjacking (felling, limbing, collecting, stacking and storing)
- Collection and chipping of dead wood
- Management of the plot dedicated to timber sales
- Preparation of firewood for the property's needs
Outdoor Maintenance
- Maintenance of the property's surroundings (weeding, moss removal, blowing, sweeping, raking)
- Upkeep and landscaping of green spaces (mowing, pruning, planting, watering, digging)
Maintenance & Reporting
- Maintenance of agricultural machinery (tractors, shredders) and equipment
- Minor repairs and odd jobs
- Regular reporting to the property's Estate Managers
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Strong technical skills in felling and cutting
- Good knowledge of tree species and their management
- Mastery of safety rules and safe use of machinery
- Ability to operate agricultural machinery (tractors)
- Ability to assess and anticipate risks (falling trees, disease detection)
- Awareness of environmental and plant conservation
- Autonomous, organised and dynamic
- Good interpersonal skills and team spirit
- Driving licence required

- Working hours: 8:30 am–12:00 pm / 1:30 pm–5:00 pm, Monday to Friday

Salary
€2,300 gross/month depending on profile
