Job description
We are looking for a Multi-Purpose Forestry Worker (M/F) for our client's forest property located near Lisieux (Calvados - 14) in charge of wood management, maintenance of exteriors and equipment.
This is a permanent position to be filled as soon as possible.There is no official housing. A solid knowledge of the lumberjack field is required.
Responsibilities
- Lumberjacking (cutting, delimbing, collection, stacking and storage)
- Deadwood collection (shredding)
- Management of the timber sales plot
- Preparing firewood for the property
- Maintenance of the surroundings of the property (weeding, moss removal, blowing, sweeping, raking, etc.)
- Maintenance of green spaces (mowing, pruning, planting, watering, digging, etc.)
- Maintenance of agricultural machinery (tractors, shredder, etc.) and equipment (tools)
- Small repairs and DIY
- Reporting to Managers
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar professional setting
- Dynamic, autonomous and organized person
- Good technical skills (felling, cutting, etc.)
- Good knowledge of tree species and their management
- Mastery of safety rules (use of machines)
- Ability to drive agricultural machinery (tractors, etc.)
- Ability to assess risks (falling trees, disease detection, etc.)
- Acting with respect for the flora
- Interpersonal skills
- Driver's license
