Family Assistant/Nanny job (M/F) in Dubai, UAE
Job description
A busy, professional mother is seeking an experienced Family Assistant/Nanny to support the care and development of her three boys (ages 8, 10, and 12).
This is a dynamic role within a recently separated family, requiring someone who is emotionally mature, adaptable, and confident managing older children, as well as navigating a co-parenting environment.
The three children go to school full time so during their school day you will transition into more of an assitant role and help the mother with running the home.
Responsibilities
- Morning routine: preparing breakfast, organising school bags, ensuring smooth start to the day.
- School pick-ups and after-school care.
- Managing after school routines between 3:00pm – 7:00pm.
- Supporting homework, structure, and boundaries for older boys.
- Coordinating and accompanying to extracurricular activities (swimming, tennis, karate, chess, playdates).
- Encouraging independence, good manners, and emotional development.
- Assisting as a family assistant.
- Organising clothes, toys, and personal items.
- Monitoring what the children need (clothing, school items, etc.).
- Light household coordination related to the children.
- Supporting bedtime routine when mother is working.
- Travel with the family (both parents separately) during school
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience working with children.
- Strong experience with older boys and setting appropriate boundaries.
- Emotionally mature, calm, and flexible personality.
- Experience working with divorced/separated families is highly preferred.
- Confident managing routines across two households.
- Middle East (GCC) experience is essential.
- Background as a nanny (hands-on and practical) is key.
- Understanding of children’s development.
- Hindi language is a bonus.
Additional Notes
The family employs another nanny (Filipino) and has full household support including drivers
A driver’s license is beneficial but not essential.
The candidate will be required to move between both parents’ homes with the children. Mother is based in Jumeirah Islands and father is based in Jumeirah Lake Towers. The children primarily reside with the mother, with regular time spent at the father’s home.
Work conditions
- Location: Dubai (Jumeirah Islands & JLT - split between both households)
- Start Date: Within 1 month
- Working hours: 7AM - 7PM Monday - Friday and 9AM - 6PM Saturdays. (6 days a week)
- When the children are at school you will focus on family assistant duties to ensure the smooth running of the home
