Job description
We are recruiting, on behalf of a client's second residence located near Aurillac (15), a Factotum to take charge of the interior and exterior maintenance of the property and ensure the proper functioning of its equipment.
Position to be filled as soon as possible. Permanent contract (CDI) – 35 hours per week. Accommodation provided (independent house).
Responsibilities
- Interior upkeep of the château (housekeeping)
- Exterior upkeep of the château (grounds maintenance, mowing, leaf collection, cleaning of pathways, watering, raking, etc.)
- Maintenance of the vegetable garden
- Care of the animals (managing feed stock and orders, feeding, upkeep of enclosures)
- Arranging veterinary appointments as needed
- Overseeing maintenance of equipment (borehole/drilling system, boiler) and ensuring machinery runs properly
- Light DIY and repairs
- Preparing firewood (cutting and stacking)
- Receiving parcels and deliveries
- Welcoming external contractors and overseeing their work
- Ensuring the security of the estate
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions to the owner
- Reporting to the owner
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an identical professional setting
- Dynamic, versatile, autonomous and organised individual
- Good DIY/handyman skills
- Comfortable around animals (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.)
- Must not be afraid of birds, which roam freely in one room of the château
- Full confidentiality guaranteed to the employer
- Speaks French and/or English
- Driving licence required
