Job description

A highly private and discreet ultra-high-net-worth family, returning from Europe next week, is seeking an experienced Estate Manager to oversee the smooth and seamless operations of their Los Angeles residences. The primary residence is in Brentwood, with a secondary beach property requiring periodic management.

This is a live-out position; candidates must have reliable transportation. The role requires a polished, professional, and hands-on individual who can manage staff, properties, and household operations with discretion and efficiency.

It is imperative that the candidate be skilled in-home technology and automation, systems such as sound systems, pool, lighting. The candidate should oversee both properties. They should also be capable of training personnel, as well as supervising and coordinating activities.

The workweek should encompass six days, except when the family is traveling for an extended period (which adds up to a couple of months or more).

Attention to detail is crucial for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Brentwood estate and provide management support for the secondary beach residence.
  • Supervise and coordinate household staff, including scheduling, assignments, and performance management.
  • Manage all vendor and contractor relationships, including contracts, maintenance, and ongoing services.
  • Coordinate and execute private events, dinners, and gatherings with precision and discretion.
  • Ensure both residences are always maintained to the highest standards.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for all household operations, ensuring seamless communication and confidentiality.
  • Provide flexible support outside of traditional business hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a senior Estate Manager role within a UHNW or private household.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to oversee and motivate staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of estate operations, property maintenance, and vendor management.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional discretion, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Must have a personal vehicle and valid driver’s license.

 

Willingness to sign and strictly adhere to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
