Job description
We are looking for a Domestic Couple to manage the housekeeping, organisation and hospitality activities of a prestigious wine estate located in the Médoc region (near Bordeaux, Gironde).
The couple will be assisted by a housekeeper. The position is permanent, full-time, and to be filled as soon as possible. On-site staff accommodation is provided.
Responsibilities
- Meticulous and thorough upkeep of the château (including furniture, valuables, silverware, etc.), reception rooms and offices
- Table art management (table setting, floral decoration, table service, drinks service, etc.)
- Household linen management (washing, ironing and storage)
- Preparation of reception rooms for wine tasting events, lunches and occasional dinners
- Preparation of the owners' and guests' stays and attending to their requests
- Close coordination with the Head Chef and the Hospitality team
- Personalised welcome of French and international guests
- Liaising with service providers and suppliers
- Stock and supplies management
- Inventory management
- Driving on request
- Vehicle maintenance
- Upkeep of the château's surroundings (courtyards, pathways) in collaboration with the gardener
- DIY and minor repairs
- Site security and surveillance
- Ensuring compliance with safety guidelines
- Reporting to management
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar professional environment or in luxury hospitality
- Autonomous, dynamic individuals with a strong sense of organisation
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent ability to work within a team
- Mastery of the art of fine dining and table service
- An affinity for the wine and viticulture environment is a plus
- Confidentiality and discretion guaranteed to the employer
- Proficiency in communication tools and office software
- French and English required
- Driving licence required for both

Salary
