Job description
We are seeking a Domestic Couple for a prestigious estate in Vence (Alpes-Maritimes, 06), responsible for the interior and exterior upkeep of the property.
The couple will join the existing team and report to the Estate Manager. As no staff accommodation is provided, the couple should ideally live near the estate.
The position starts in October/November. Permanent contract, accommodation not provided.
Responsibilities
- Interior housekeeping (cleaning, dusting, etc.) across the 3 villas
- Preparing bedrooms ahead of the owner's arrival
- Laundry care (washing, ironing, putting away)
- Stock management
- Preparing meals when the employer is in residence
- Grocery shopping and other supplies
- Garden maintenance (mowing, pruning, trimming, weeding, watering, planting, etc.)
- Maintaining the vegetable garden and orchard, and harvesting olives
- Looking after the chicken coop and koi carp pond
- Maintaining tools and equipment
- Maintaining the terrace and garden furniture
- Ensuring the proper maintenance of systems such as home automation and alarms, in liaison with the Estate Manager
- Cutting and storing firewood
- DIY and minor repairs
- Driving on request
- Vehicle care (washing, keeping service records up to date, etc.)
- Receiving deliveries
- Welcoming external contractors and overseeing their work
- Reporting to the Estate Manager
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar professional environment
- Versatile, independent and well organised
- Strong sense of responsibility and service
- Team players who are happy to support colleagues
- A passion for cooking
- Good interpersonal skills
- Flexibility required
- Guaranteed discretion and confidentiality
- French speakers
- Driving licence required for both partners
