Job description
We are seeking, for our client's secondary residence located in Grasse (Alpes-Maritimes), a pre-retired or retired Domestic Couple who will be responsible for the interior and exterior upkeep of the property.
Position to be filled at the end of the year (November/December), on a permanent part-time contract (CDI).
The property is occupied approximately 6 months out of 12. Supplementary income for the couple.
Responsibilities
- Household cleaning tasks
- Management of cleaning product stocks
- Laundry management (washing, ironing, and storage)
- Prepare simple, family-style meals upon request
- Table setting and table service upon request
- Grocery shopping and other supply runs
- Minor repairs and handyman tasks
- Ensure the proper functioning of equipment (heating, air conditioning, ventilation, lighting, alarm system, and gate opening system)
- Monitoring of septic tank, drainage, and rainwater system maintenance
- Upkeep of the vegetable garden, greenhouse, vineyard, and olive trees
- Watering/irrigation management
- Upkeep of the terrace and garden furniture
- Welcoming and liaising with external service providers, suppliers, and craftsmen
- Vehicle maintenance (interior and exterior) and tracking of service records
- Acting as driver for the family and/or guests (airport transfers)
- Keeping an expense ledger with supporting receipts
- Property monitoring and caretaking/security
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Autonomous, reliable, and trustworthy individuals
- Pre-retired or retired couple
- Flexibility to work weekends when the employer is present
- Confidentiality assured to the employer
- French speaking
- Driving license required
Work conditions
- Position: Caretaker Couple
- Start Date: November/December
- Location: Grasse (Alpes-Maritimes)
- Contract Type: Permanent contract (CDI)
- Working Conditions: Approximately 20 hrs/week for the couple
- Accommodation: Individual 65m² apartment with a private 35m² terrace
- Trial Period: 3 months
- Annual Leave: To be taken in October and March
Salary
€17 gross/hour (depending on profile)
