Job description
We are seeking a hands-on and versatile Cook / Small Restaurant Manager to join a newly opening private clubhouse at EŌME Residences, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.
The clubhouse is exclusively for community owners and will feature a small, casual pool and beach club restaurant with a relaxed and family-oriented atmosphere. On most days, the restaurant is expected to serve a maximum of approximately 20 guests.
The food concept will be casual, family-style Mediterranean cuisine, with a very small and simple menu.The offering will include approximately one cake per day, two salads, one pasta dish, one additional dessert, cookies, as well as coffee and drinks.
The successful candidate will play an important role not only in preparing food but also in helping establish and develop the restaurant from its opening stage.
We are looking for someone who is genuinely hands-on, takes initiative, and enjoys being involved in different aspects of the operation rather than focusing only on one specific job.
This is a family business, and the ideal candidate will contribute to creating a warm, casual, easygoing, and welcoming atmosphere for community owners and their guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve fresh, high-quality casual and family-style Mediterranean food.
- Manage the daily kitchen and food preparation requirements.
- Prepare and maintain the small daily menu, including cakes, salads, pasta, desserts, cookies,
and other food items. - Prepare coffee and assist with drinks and other simple refreshments when required.
- Ensure consistent quality, taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Assist with developing and refining the menu as the clubhouse opens and operationsdevelop.
- Manage food preparation, ordering, stock levels, storage, and inventory.
- Coordinate with suppliers and ensure ingredients and supplies are available when required.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen organisation.
- Monitor food usage and minimise waste.
- Support the smooth opening and closing of the restaurant each day.
- Assist with general restaurant operations and guest service when required.
- Interact with community owners in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
- Help create a relaxed, casual, and family-oriented atmosphere for guests.
- Take initiative in identifying ways to improve the food offering, service, and overall guest experience.
- Work closely with the clubhouse team and be willing to assist with different areas of the
operation when needed. - Support the overall setup and development of the restaurant as a newly opening operation.
- Be flexible and willing to take on responsibilities outside the traditional kitchen role when required.
- Contribute to creating an efficient and well-organised system for the restaurant's daily operation.
- Work collaboratively with the concierge, waiters, and other clubhouse staff to provide a
seamless guest experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Cook, Chef, Restaurant Manager, Sous Chef, or in a similar
hands-on hospitality role. - Experience working in a small restaurant, café, clubhouse, private club, boutique
hospitality environment, or family-run business is an advantage. - Good knowledge of Mediterranean or similar casual cuisine.
- Comfortable preparing a small menu and working independently.
- Good knowledge of food preparation and food hygiene standards.
- Very good English communication skills.
- Warm, friendly, approachable, and service-oriented personality.
- Strong interest in creating an excellent and personalised guest experience.
- Highly hands-on, practical, and flexible approach to work.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Comfortable being involved in different areas of the operation rather than performing only
one specific role. - Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to be part of the overall clubhouse team and contribute to its development.

Work conditions
- Work Location: Private clubhouse at EŌME Residences, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai,
exclusively serving community owners. - Working Days: 6 days per week.
- Start Date: ASAP.
- Employment: Full-time, long-term position.
- Candidates: Candidates already based in the UAE are preferred.
- Visa: Visa sponsorship provided.
