Full-Time Cook/Housekeeper job (M/F) in Dubai, UAE
Job description
A family based in Jumeirah Golf Estate is seeking a Cook/Housekeeper to prepare daily meals for two adults and two household staff, while also assisting with light housekeeping duties.
The role requires confidence in preparing Asian, European, and international cuisine, the ability to follow recipes, and a strong commitment to high standards of hygiene, food preparation, and kitchen organization.
The ideal candidate is flexible, well-organized, and comfortable working around young children, with a positive attitude toward learning new cuisines. Occasional travel with the family may be required, and the candidate should be willing to support the household as needed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare daily meals for: 2 adults and 2 household staff.
- Plan and cook: Nutritious breakfasts, lunch and dinner meals.
- Prepare Asian, European and all different types of cuisines.
- Follow recipes (including YouTube and online recipes).
- Be creative and open to learning new cuisines.
- Ensure meals are healthy, well-presented, and prepared on time.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
- Assist with grocery planning and basic ingredient management.
- Proper storage of food and leftovers.
- Light Housekeeping Duties.
- Assist with basic cleaning related to kitchen and dining areas.
- Wash dishes and maintain kitchen organization.
- Support household staff when needed with other household duties.
- Keep cooking and food areas uncluttered and orderly.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a home cook or family cook.
- Confident cooking Asian and European cuisine.
- Willingness to learn and follow new recipes.
- Good English communication skills.
- Organized, clean, and hygienic working style.
- Comfortable working in a household with young children.
- Flexible with working hours and family schedule.
- Willing to travel with the family if required.
