Companion/Housekeeper job (M/F) in La Baule, France
Job description
A 90-year-old man, independent, mobile, walking without assistance, residing in La Baule, is looking for a Lady's companion / Housekeeper to manage his property and prepare his daily meals.
The house has an area of 200 m². The position is live-in and available from July 15 to August 28 inclusive.
Responsibilities
- Providing companionship to the gentleman.
- Going on walks with the gentleman.
- Organizing and preparing meals.
- Washing dishes after meals and cleaning the kitchen.
- Ordering groceries.
- Laundering household linen and the gentleman's clothing, ironing and putting away in wardrobes.
- Notifying the gentleman's children in the event of a problem.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar environment.
- Calm person with excellent patience and a caring nature.
- Ability to build a relationship of trust, attentive listening and good communication with the gentleman and his family members.
- Category B driving licence to carry out grocery runs.
Work conditions

- Contract: Fixed-term (CDD), part-time
- Hours: 25 hours per week (5 hours per day)
- Period: 15 July – 28 August inclusive
- Probationary period: 7 days.
- Accommodation: Private bedroom in the house with a separate bathroom.

- Working Hours:
- Monday: 2 hours — 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm
- Tuesday: 5 hours — 11:00 am to 2:00 pm & 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
- Wednesday: 5 hours — 11:00 am to 2:00 pm & 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
- Thursday: 3 hours — 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm & 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
- Friday: 5 hours — 11:00 am to 2:00 pm & 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
- Saturday: 5 hours — 11:00 am to 2:00 pm & 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
(Duties include meal preparation, serving, clearing and kitchen cleaning)
