Job description
Our client, a private Kuwaiti household based in Kuwait City, Kuwait, is seeking an experienced, caring, and dedicated Child Caregiver / Nanny to take primary responsibility for the care and wellbeing of their one-year-old daughter.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the child's daily care, including feeding, bathing, dressing, preparing meals, managing the child's laundry, and maintaining her daily routine.
The Child Caregiver / Nanny will focus primarily on the child and will not be responsible for general household cleaning, as the family has separate household staff.
The ideal candidate should have previous experience caring for babies or toddlers, good English communication skills, and a caring, patient, responsible, and trustworthy personality.
Nursing graduates, whether licensed or unlicensed, are encouraged to apply, particularly those with relevant experience or knowledge of infant and toddler care. The candidate should also be comfortable travelling internationally with the family when required.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and dedicated care for the one-year-old girl throughout the day.
- Prepare and provide appropriate meals and food for the child.
- Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, and maintaining the child's daily routine.
- Ensure the child's clothes and personal belongings are clean, organised, and wellmaintained.
- Handle the child's laundry, washing, ironing, and other clothing-related tasks.
- Provide age-appropriate care, supervision, and developmental activities for the child.
- Have basic knowledge of first aid and children's medication.
- Respond appropriately if the child becomes unwell and administer medication only as
instructed by the parents and prescribed by a healthcare professional. - Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for the child.
- Carry out tasks directly related to the child's care and wellbeing.
- Travel internationally with the family when required.
- Communicate effectively in English with the family.
- Work collaboratively with the existing household staff.
- Maintain a professional, caring, and discreet approach within the private household.
Requirements
- Previous professional experience caring for babies or toddlers.
- Nursing graduates with a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Nursing are encouraged
to apply, whether licensed or unlicensed. - Strong understanding of infant and toddler care and development.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and children's medication.
- Good English communication skills.
- Caring, patient, responsible, and trustworthy personality.
- Previous experience working with private families is an advantage.
- Previous international travel or international household experience is an advantage.
- Flexible and willing to work full-time in a private household.
- Comfortable travelling internationally with the family when required.
