Butler job (M/F) in Monaco
Job description
The Butler will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the household, ensuring the highest standards of service, discretion, and organisation are maintained at all times.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, anticipation of the family's needs, and full ownership of household operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily running and presentation of the residence, ensuring impeccable standards throughout
- Manage table service, formal dining, and entertaining for family and guests
- Coordinate and liaise with other household staff to ensure seamless service
- Manage wardrobe care, valeting, and personal effects as required
- Oversee inventory of household linens, silverware, glassware, and fine items
- Liaise with external suppliers, contractors, and service providers on behalf of the family
- Organise and oversee events, formal dinners, and receptions as needed
- Ensure strict confidentiality and discretion regarding the family's private affairs
- Manage household budgets, petty cash, and supplier invoicing as delegated
- Anticipate the needs of the family and proactively resolve issues before they arise
Requirements
- Proven full butler experience in a private household of similar standing
- Excellent presentation, manners, and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Discreet, trustworthy, and adaptable
- Fluent in English; French an advantage given the Monaco location
- Flexible and available to work occasional evenings/weekends as required by the family's schedule
