Job description
We are seeking a Butler (M/F) for our client's primary residence in Conakry, Guinea, responsible for Art de la Table and the organisation of receptions, both formal and informal, as well as the supervision of a team of 20 staff.
This is a 2-year fixed-term contract (CDD), renewable once. The position is available immediately, with accommodation and an attractive package.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the entire household staff (chef, housekeeper, domestic staff, drivers, maintenance and security personnel)
- Ensure table service during meals, dinners, and receptions (table setting, beverage service)
- Manage the organisation and coordination of private events and official/unofficial receptions
- Uphold quality standards and protocol (etiquette, French-style/English-style service)
- Guarantee the smooth running of table service
- Manage inventory (china, tablecloths, napkins, etc.)
- Manage the wine cellar
- Oversee stock (wine cellar, silverware, household linen, cleaning products, etc.)
- Welcome guests in accordance with their status (protocol-based welcome and table seating arrangements)
- Serve as liaison between the employer and the rest of the staff
- Travel with the employer to other residences (USA and Middle East)
- Train and supervise new recruits
- Report directly to the employer
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a prestigious residence or luxury hospitality
- Autonomous, flexible, versatile, and dynamic
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Solid managerial abilities
- Thorough mastery of Art de la Table and table service
- Willing and able to travel with the employer
- Complete discretion and confidentiality regarding the employer at all times
- Fluent in French and English
- Driving licence required

Salary
€5,770–7,050 gross/month (depending on profile)
