Job description
A high-net-worth family is seeking a proactive, highly organized, and hands-on Senior Housekeeper / Household Coordinator for their newly renovated private residence in County Wicklow.
This role requires a trustworthy and detail-oriented professional to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, tidiness, and presentation across the home.
Working alongside a Private Chef, the candidate will oversee daily home operations, perform hands-on housekeeping and laundry tasks, and liaise with external cleaning services and contractors to ensure the home remains immaculate and fully functional at all times.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily hands-on care, detailed cleaning, and organization of main living spaces, bedrooms, and family areas to keep the home immaculate and presentable.
- Establish and maintain organizational systems for wardrobes, pantries, storage rooms, and household items following the recent renovation.
- Conduct daily walkthroughs to ensure all areas meet high standards of tidiness, order, and maintenance.
- Act as the primary liaison for third-party cleaning companies and specialized contractors, scheduling visits and supervising their work on-site.
- Receive daily deliveries, handle parcels, and coordinate tradespeople or service technicians
as required. - Take full ownership of fine garment care, family laundry, ironing, pressing, and seasonal wardrobe care.
- Manage bed linen and towel rotations throughout the estate.
- Perform weekly household inventory runs (cleaning supplies, toiletries, pantry essentials).
- Work collaboratively with the in-house Private Chef to support overall smooth household routines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a high-end private household, luxury estate, or boutique hospitality environment as a Senior Housekeeper, Head Housekeeper, or Household Coordinator.
- Energetic, meticulous, and happy to perform daily hands-on tasks while maintaining oversight of third-party vendors.
- Must reside in County Wicklow or Dublin with a reliable personal vehicle and a full, clean driving license for daily commuting and household errands.
- Fluent spoken English with strong organizational skills to direct external contractors clearly.
- Discreet, professional, flexible, and accustomed to working around family life with teenage children.
Work conditions
- Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week (5 days on / 2 days off).
- Contract: Permanent, long-term contract.
Salary
Competitive salary (€45,000 – €55,000 gross per annum, DOE / negotiable based on qualifications)
