Job description
A distinguished client is seeking an exceptional and highly discreet Chief Stewardess to deliver five-star interior service across the private residences and international travel of UHNW Principals.
Transitioning from a superyacht environment to a land-based household setting, this role mirrors the exacting standards, service culture, and operational rigour of a chief stewardess position - applied across multiple luxury residences and locations worldwide.
This is a hands-on, guest-facing role requiring impeccable service delivery, strong interior management, and the ability to work in a household team and also as a sole stewardess to deliver 5-star housekeeping standards.
Responsibilities
- Delivering and maintaining the highest standard of interior service across all residences, consistent with a five-star or superyacht environment
- Setting, upholding, and continuously refining service standards, SOPs, and household routines
- Taking charge of all aspects of table service, formal and informal dining
- In certain residences, preparing breakfast, light lunches and assisting with dinner preparations while running service respectively
- Performing all interior duties included laundry and linens, room turnovers as well as evening turndowns and overseeing the overall upkeep of all interior spaces at all times.
- Anticipating and fulfilling the Principals’ preferences with discretion and attentiveness
- In charge household inventories including linens, tableware, glassware, amenities, and consumables
- Coordinating with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure seamless dining experiences
- Overseeing floral arrangements, ambient presentation, and sensory details throughout the Residences
- Leading, scheduling, training, and supervising interior household staff across all locations
- Instilling a culture of excellence, professionalism, and attention to detail within the team
- Conducting briefings and debriefs to maintain consistency of service
- Managing performance and providing hands-on coaching and mentoring to junior staff
- Coordinating staffing levels and rotas in line with the Principals’ movements and requirements
- Managing all aspects of the Principals’ wardrobe organisation, care, and rotation across locations
- Overseeing laundry, dry cleaning, pressing, and garment maintenance to the highest standard
- Packing, unpacking, and managing wardrobe transitions between residences and during travel
- Ensuring all personal items, accessories, and clothing are correctly stored, transported, and accounted for
- Sourcing personal items and running errands locally and internationally as required
- Preparing residences ahead of and on the Principals’ arrival to ensure every detail is perfect
- Managing the setup and breakdown of residences during travel and relocation periods
- Ensuring continuity of service standards and environment across all properties
- Overseeing procurement, restocking, and replenishment of household supplies and amenities
- Coordinating and executing private dinners, gatherings, and events within the residences
- Managing front-of-house service during formal and informal entertaining
- Liaising with external caterers, suppliers, and service providers as required
- Ensuring guests experience a seamless, warm, and impeccably delivered level of hospitality
- Accompanying the Principals on international travel when required
- Acting as the on-site interior lead across all destinations, maintaining consistent service standards regardless of location
- Managing all household and personal logistics during travel periods
- Coordinating end-to-end organisation and transportation of the Principal’s personal and household items between locations
- Working in close partnership with the Travelling Personal Assistant to align interior service with the Principals’ schedule and lifestyle
- Acting as the key point of contact for all interior and service-related matters
- Liaising with external suppliers, contractors, and service providers
- Ensuring clear and professional communication across the full household tea
Requirements
- Deeply service-oriented with an instinctive understanding of five-star standards.

- Discreet and experienced in handling confidential matters with the utmost professionalism.
- Proactive, with strong anticipatory skills and the ability to read the room.
- Flexible with varied hours, on-call requirements, and frequent international travel.
- A natural leader, able to motivate and manage a team across multiple locations.
- A strong hands-on approach to housekeeping, laundry and service.
- Being able to work within a team and also in the capacity as a sole stewardess.
- Comfortable working as part of a close-knit principal support staff.
