Personal Butler job in Al Jasra, Bahrain
Job description
A distinguished gentleman of refined taste and high standards is seeking an exceptional Female Butler to support the smooth running of his private residences in Bahrain. He is a mild-mannered, true gentleman who values discretion, polish, and seamless service above all.
He travels extensively, and there may be occasional opportunities for the Butler to accompany him on travel, including by private yacht. His adult children visit on a regular basis, and the household welcomes guests for formal dinners and social occasions.
This is a service-led, live-in position based across private residences in Bahrain. The Female Butler will be the most senior member of the live-in household team and will report directly to the Chief of Staff.
The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable being visible and present when required, and discreet and unobtrusive when not. She will have an intuitive understanding of her principal’s mood, preferences, and routines, and will anticipate needs before they are expressed.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the household, ensuring the highest standards of service at all times
- Manage and direct the in-house team, including two domestic staff, a chef, a driver, gardeners and liaise with the maintenance guy
- Produce and manage staff rotas, ensuring optimal coverage and efficiency
- Liaise closely with the chef to coordinate dining arrangements, including formal dinners for up to 10 guests
- Monitor and maintain the principal’s preferences, updating records as needed
- Manage unexpected guests with grace, professionalism, and calm efficiency
- Set and maintain the mood and atmosphere of the principal living areas
- Ensure all household areas are immaculately presented at all times
- Report to the Chief of Staff and support a cohesive, well-run household operation
- Be on hand to accompany the principal during travel when required, including by yacht.
Requirements
- Butler with experience serving UHNW or VIP principals.
- EU or UK passport (required for visa purposes).
- Impeccably presented, polished, and well-spoken.
- Highly service-oriented with an instinctive, anticipatory approach.
- Experienced in household management, staff supervision, and formal dining service.
- Calm, composed, and adept at handling the unexpected with discretion.
- Genuinely discreet and respectful of privacy at all times.
- Comfortable living on-site in a private household environment.
- Flexible and available to travel internationally when required.
