Job description
A warm and respectful family based in Dubai is seeking an experienced, energetic, and highly organized live-in Housekeeper / Nanny to support the smooth day-to-day running of a private household.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, discreet, and confident managing both housekeeping duties and childcare support within a fully staffed home environment.
The family consists of two adults, two children aged 8 and 9 years old, and a toy poodle. The family is relocating to a large residence on Palm Jumeirah and requires a candidate who is comfortable working in a high-standard private household and handling luxury garments and household items with care.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the residence to exceptionally high standards at all times.
- Daily cleaning of all living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common spaces.
- Deep cleaning duties on a scheduled basis.
- Ensure all household supplies and cleaning products are properly organized and stocked.
- Maintain a hygienic, tidy, and well-organized home environment.
- Full laundry care including washing, ironing, steaming, folding, and garment care.
- Handle delicate and luxury clothing with exceptional attention and care.
- Organize wardrobes, seasonal clothing rotation, and storage management.
- Ensure wardrobes, drawers, and dressing areas remain neat and impeccably maintained.
- Monitor garment care labels and use appropriate cleaning methods.
- Assist with school drop-offs and pick-ups.
- Accompany children to extracurricular activities and appointments when required.
- Provide attentive and supportive care in coordination with the parents.
- Prepare school bags, uniforms, and daily essentials.
- Support the children’s routines in a calm, positive, and professional manner.
- Assist with the care of a toy poodle (dog).
- Daily dog walking and ensuring pets are clean and comfortable.
- Support feeding schedules and general pet wellbeing when required.
- Assist in maintaining household systems and organization throughout the home.
- Support smooth day-to-day household operations.
- Report maintenance issues or household requirements proactively.
- Work collaboratively with the existing household staff member.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in private households or VIP residences.
- Strong housekeeping and wardrobe management experience essential.
- Comfortable handling expensive clothing and household items.
- Active, energetic, and physically fit.
- Child-friendly, kind, patient, and professional.
- Trustworthy, discreet, and well-presented.
- Good communication skills.
- Comfortable living within the family residence.
- Comfortable around small dogs.
Work conditions
- Accomodation: Live-in position (own en-suit room)
- Work Schedule: 6 days per week (flexible day off – Saturday or Sunday)
- Location: The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, UAE
- Start Date: June/July 2026
