Job description

As part of a confidential search, a Parisian family residing in an elegant private property of approximately 900 m² in the heart of Paris is looking for an exceptional Head Housekeeper (M/F).

This position is aimed at an experienced private service professional with a keen eye for detail, excellent emotional intelligence and the ability to thrive in a demanding environment where discretion, precision and reliability are essential.

The family leads a busy lifestyle and expects their Housekeeper to have a perfect command of service standards, a high degree of autonomy and the ability to anticipate daily needs with efficiency and elegance. Permanent full-time contract (CDI) Immediate start.

Responsibilities

Property Management & Organisation

  • Ensuring the property is maintained at all times in an impeccable state of cleanliness, organisation and presentation.
  • Implementing and maintaining structured household systems (inventories, checklists, space organisation).
  • Managing stocks, supplies and orders required for the smooth running of the residence.
  • Carrying out daily inspections to ensure compliance with the owners' standards.
  • Managing laundry, garment care and wardrobe organisation, in collaboration with the existing household employee
  • Stepping in operationally alongside the household employee without hesitation: hoovering, windows, bathrooms, ironing — a service-first mindset takes precedence over any hierarchical consideration.
  • Preparing breakfast and ensuring the smooth daily running of the household.

 

Service & Personal Assistance

  • Delivering a high-end service: preparing beverages, table setting and assistance at meals during receptions.
  • Ensuring impeccable service for the owners and their guests.
  • Welcoming guests and upholding the standards of protocol and private service.
  • Anticipating preferences and ensuring guest comfort during their stay.
  • Keeping reception areas and guest spaces in a consistently immaculate state.
  • Assisting the owners with certain daily routines.

 

External Coordination & Logistics

  • Coordinating with external service providers, maintenance teams and suppliers.
  • Running personal errands (groceries, dry cleaning, pharmacy, parcels, specific purchases).
  • Managing shoe polishing, and the care of flowers and plants in the residence.
  • Coordinating with caterers and event suppliers during private receptions.
  • Ensuring the house is always ready to receive guests.

 

Lifestyle Support & Concierge Services

  • Restaurant reservations and logistical management of travel arrangements.
  • Preparing personal effects for trips (packing / unpacking.
  • Handling transportation and luggage management.
  • Preparing spaces according to preferences before or after activities (sport, work, events).
  • Contributing to domestic administrative follow-up and day-to-day expense management.
  • Maintaining a calm, organised and perfectly functional environment at all times.

Requirements

We are looking for an exceptional individual: autonomous, proactive, hands-on and trustworthy, capable of moving with elegance through a demanding private residence.

  • Significant experience in a similar role in a private residence, luxury hotel or UHNW environment.
  • Excellent command of high-end service standards and private household protocol.
  • Keen eye for detail and high standards of excellence.
  • Very high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong capacity for anticipation, organisation and multitasking.
  • Emotional intelligence, impeccable presentation and excellent professional etiquette.
  • Hands-on profile — comfortable intervening on a daily basis without hesitation alongside the household employee: hoovering, windows, bathrooms, ironing.
  • Reliability, proactivity and a consistent commitment to excellence
  • Strong and verifiable professional references.
  • Training in luxury hospitality, service or hotel management is an advantage.

Work conditions

  • Contract: Permanent (CDI) — Full-time
  • Probationary period: 2 months, renewable
  • Location: Paris 7th arrondissement — Non live-in position
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm (lunch break included) — flexibility required
  • Start date: Immediate

Salary

€54,000 – €61,500 gross per year, depending on profile and experience
