Riva is a creative copywriter with experience in writing web content, news copy, and academic research articles. She joined Morgan & Mallet (M&M) in 2025 as a newcomer to the world of recruitment marketing.
Writing informative content while making sure it entertains your audience can be tricky. But for Riva, these situations give her the chance to apply her creative writing skills and present her best work.Â
Past Experience
Before joining M&M, Riva ventured into both academic and journalistic styles of writing during her time in Canadian University Dubai. Publishing her first academic article in the Journal of Organisational Creativity Vol. 2 was the highlight of her university days outside of winning the annual book review competition twice. Â
During her internship at Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, Riva got a glimpse into the world of feature writing, an enthusiastic opportunity for a storyteller like herself. There, she learnt how to spot trendy topics to write on, published short form articles on the website, and interviewed local talents.
Riva then explored the world of social media, first as a social media assistant for a local company in Dubai and as a small business owner for her brand.Â
Current approach
Riva aims to merge the integrity of journalism with the entertainment aspect of marketing copy. Her journalistic background allows her to maintain a balance between the tone, language, and expression in her work.Â
Her role as a recruitment marketing assistant at M&M has given her an opening to learn more about the ins and outs of content production.
Riva’s curious edge hasn’t dulled over the years. Still a novice to the world of SEO writing, she conducts research on the latest SEO tips and tricks for writing on her own time. She also continually heeds the advice of Patrick and Benjamin, M&M’s marketing experts, to further improve her skills. Â
