Job description
A private family based in Umm Al Quwain is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Horse Riding Coach to provide full-time, private instruction at their family-owned farm.
The property features a well-established equestrian setup with 17 horses and a team of grooms, offering an excellent environment for training and development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering structured and personalized riding lessons in Dressage and Show Jumping to adult beginners and children, while also ensuring the horses are properly trained, fit, and safe for riding.
The family welcomes applications from candidates currently based in the UAE as well as international candidates open to relocation.
Responsibilities
- Private Instruction: Deliver tailored riding lessons in Dressage and Show Jumping for two adults and occasionally up to seven children (ages 4–13), all at beginner level.
- Training & Development: Design and implement a progressive training program to build confidence, skills, and long-term riding ability.
- Horse Management: Oversee the fitness, schooling, and readiness of 17 horses, working in coordination with 4 dedicated groomers who handle daily horse care, ensuring horses are well-trained, responsive, and safe for riders.
- Safety & Welfare: Maintain the highest standards of safety in all riding sessions and stable environments.
- Discretion & Professionalism: Maintain a high level of confidentiality and
professionalism when working within a private household.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Horse Riding Coach, with strong expertise in Dressage and Show Jumping.
- Experience training beginners and children is essential.
- Calm, patient, and safety-focused approach.
- Strong knowledge of horse behavior, training techniques, and welfare.
- Previous experience in a private household or similar environment is an advantage.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to be based on-site in Umm Al Quwain.
