Full-Time Live-In Domestic Couple job in St. Moritz, Switzerland
Job description
A warm, friendly European family is seeking an experienced Live-In Domestic Couple to manage and care for their large luxury chalet in Celerina St. Moritz.
This is a long-term lifestyle role, ideal for a couple who enjoys mountain living, autonomy, and maintaining a property to an excellent standard year-round. The household is informal and relaxed, yet operates at a high standard of organization, cleanliness, and presentation (“relaxed luxury”).
The principals are approachable, respectful, and value loyalty, discretion, and reliability. The chalet is used throughout the year, with December to March typically being the main period of residence. Outside of this period, the principals may also visit for occasional long weekends or shorter stays.
When the family is in residence, additional staff (housekeepers and a chef) are brought in. For most of the year, the couple will be fully autonomous, acting as house managers of the chalet.
Responsibilities
Property & House Management
- Overall care, organisation, and supervision of a very large chalet.
- Ensuring the property is always guest-ready and presented to a high standard.
- Liaising with contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Carrying out light maintenance and reporting technical issues when required.
- Basic snow clearing if needed (external contractors also available).
Housekeeping
- High-standard cleaning and daily upkeep of all living areas.
- Laundry care, ironing, and wardrobe management.
- Maintaining excellent organisation throughout the property.
- Stock control and management of household supplies.
Service & Hosting Support (During Family Stays)
- Providing informal table service assistance when required.
- Coordinating with the chef and additional household staff.
- Preparing the property for guests and supporting visits.
Additional Duties
- Simple, family-style cooking (a strong advantage; a chef is usually present during stays).
- Running errands and managing household shopping.
- Driving for local errands (vehicle provided; mileage covered).
- Supporting pet care when the family’s dog is in residence.
Requirements
- Experienced domestic couple with a strong background in private households or estate management.
- Comfortable working independently and autonomously.
- Extremely reliable, trustworthy, and loyal.
- Highly detail-oriented, well organised, and consistent in maintaining standards.
- Able to deliver very high standards within a relaxed, informal household environment.
- Versatile and hands-on, willing to assist wherever needed.
- Enjoys a mountain lifestyle and long-term role stability.
- Comfortable working in a household with pets.
- Valid driving licence required (both candidates being drivers is a strong advantage).
- Languages:
- English – mandatory
- Italian – strong advantage
- Swiss German – a plus, not required

- For approximately 9–10 months per year:
Private apartment including bedroom, bathroom, sitting area, kitchen, and office
For approximately 2–3 months per year (peak season):
- Shared staff apartment
- Private bedroom, bathroom, and office maintained
