Full-Time Governess job (M/F) in Dubai, UAE
Job description
A warm and professional British family based in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, is seeking an experienced Governess to support the educational and developmental needs of their two daughters aged 4 and 8. This is a fully staffed household, and the role is child-focused, with a strong emphasis on education aligned with the British curriculum.
The family travels frequently outside the UAE and would like the governess to accompany them during international travel, particularly over the summer.
Responsibilities
- Collecting the children from school.
- Managing and overseeing the children’s educational requirements.
- Reviewing homework and lessons after school.
- Mentoring and supporting the children’s academic progress, with a focus on the British curriculum.
- Organising and supervising age-appropriate activities and playdates.
- Encouraging good manners, confidence, and positive behaviour.
- Preparing healthy snacks for the children.
- Providing overnight care as required.
- Travelling with the family internationally when needed.
Requirements
- Native English speaker.
- Strong familiarity with the British curriculum.
- Previous experience as a governess or classroom teaching experience (highly preferred).
- Professional, organised, and nurturing approach.
- Flexible and willing to travel with the family.
- Open to live-in or live-out arrangements.
- Open to relocating if required.

- Location: Palm Jumeirah, Dubai
- Start Date: ASAP
- Children: Two girls, aged 4 and 8
- Accommodation: Live-in or Live-out (flexible)
- 6 days per week (preferred: 6 days)
- Visa and medical insurance provided in accordance with UAE labour law
- Flight tickets provided when travelling internationally with the family
- Contract type: CDI Temps plein / CDI 100 %
- Monday - 2:30 pm - 7:30 pm (5 hrs)
- Tuesday - 4:00 pm - 7:30 pm (3.5 hrs)
- Wednesday - 4:00 pm - 7:30 pm (3.5 hrs)
- Thursday - 2:30 pm - 7:30 pm (5 hrs)
- Friday - 11:30 am - 7:30 pm (8 hrs)
- Saturday - 10:00 am - 6:00 pm (8 hrs)
