Job description
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Domestic Couple to manage the interior upkeep and outdoor spaces of a private forest estate located near Tours (37), France.
Candidates should ideally have proven experience in the management of a forest property.
The position is available from June/July on a permanent full-time contract. An independent staff residence is provided on site.
Responsibilities
- Carry out all housekeeping tasks (interior cleaning of the main house and outbuildings)
- Manage laundry: washing, ironing, and putting away
- Manage cleaning product stocks
- Grocery shopping and other supply runs as needed
- Meal preparation during the employer's stays
- Table setting and meal service
- Assist with the setup and service of meals during private hunting events
- Carry out forestry work (wood cutting and storage, pruning, light tree surgery, tree marking, logging, and chainsaw work) under the supervision of a forestry expert
- Maintain non-wooded areas of the estate (paths, meadows, crops, pond, etc.)
- Maintain buildings, the swimming pool, and the technical room
- Maintain terraces and garden furniture
- Monitor logging and/or reforestation projects
- Ensure proper maintenance of technical equipment and installations (boiler room, etc.)
- Enforce fire safety regulations on the property
- Carry out odd jobs and minor repairs
- Act as driver on request
- Vehicle maintenance (washing, service record tracking, etc.)
- Receive parcels and deliveries
- Monitor and secure the site
- Welcome and supervise external contractors and tradespeople
- Care for the employer's dog
- Report regularly to the employer or their office
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar professional setting
- Versatile, dynamic, self-sufficient, and well-organised
- Genuine appreciation for nature and forest environments
- Gamekeeper qualification is a strong asset (additional training may be offered by the employer)
- Ability to operate agricultural machinery
- Interest in cooking
- Good interpersonal skills
- Flexibility when required
- Comfortable around pets (a dog is present on the property)
- Absolute discretion and confidentiality
- French language required
- Driving licence required for both members of the couple

Salary
€5,400 – €5,800 gross per month (for the couple), depending on profile and experience
