Full-Time Butler job (M/F) in Florence, Tuscany, Italy
Job description
A world-class private estate in Tuscany is seeking an experienced Live-in Butler to oversee the smooth running of a 19-bedroom / 24-bathroom villa, extensive grounds, vineyards, olive groves, and a range of luxury amenities (wellness centre, gym, hair salon, outbuildings).
This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for a candidate with a luxury hospitality background (private household, superyacht, or 5-star hotel). When the principals or guests are in residence, full flexibility and 24/7 availability are required.
The Butler will live on site in a private three-bedroom house separate from the main villa.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the household staff (housekeepers, chef, gardeners, vineyard staff, contractors).
- Oversee day-to-day estate operations and ensure world-class service standards.
- Manage guest arrivals, itineraries, bookings, transportation, and concierge services.
- Oversee budgeting, purchasing, maintenance scheduling, and financial reporting.
- Coordinate events, dinners, parties, and special occasions.
- Maintain the highest standards across housekeeping, laundry, silver/china care, inventories, and the wine cellar.
- Work closely with the gardening, vineyard, and olive oil production teams.
- Ensure smooth operation of security, vehicles, and all household systems.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Butler, House Manager, Estate Manager, or similar.
- Background in luxury private households, boutique hotels, large villas, or superyachts.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and team-management skills.
- Fluent in Italian and English.
- Proactive, hands-on attitude with a willingness to “roll up sleeves” when needed.
- Excellent communication, guest-service, and problem-solving abilities.
- High discretion and professionalism; accustomed to UHNW environments.
- Valid driving licence.
