Job description
Morgan & Mallet International is looking for a Bilingual Nanny/Housekeeper for a family residing in the heart of the 6th arrondissement of Paris, as part of a permanent contract, to be filled as soon as possible.
The family, made up of two children (a girl entering CP and a boy entering CM1 in September 2026), resides in a spacious 200 m² apartment, ideally located in the immediate vicinity of the Jardin du Luxembourg.
All school and extracurricular activities are within walking distance. This position is long-term and requires a trustworthy person who is invested and willing to be part of a stable professional relationship. Permanent contract. Immediate start date.
Responsibilities
Care of children (main mission)
When the children are present at home, the candidate must:
- Ensure a caring, warm and reassuring presence.
- Offer age-appropriate activities: games, reading, creative activities, cooking.
- Accompany homework with pedagogy, promoting autonomy and concentration.
- Participate in their cultural awakening through enriching exchanges and discussions.
- Maintain a structuring, calm and coherent environment at the end of the day.
- Manage daily walking routes (school, activities, park).
- Organize socialization moments (birthday, friends on Wednesday afternoons).
- Ensure the safety, well-being and emotional balance of children.
- A posture that is gentle, structuring and coherent is expected.
Home management (during school hours)
In the absence of the children, the missions include:
- Keeping living spaces clean, tidy and organized (especially children's areas).
- Linen management (machines, routine maintenance).
- Preparation of simple, fresh, seasonal and balanced meals for the family.
- General organization of the home and anticipation of daily needs.
- Carrying out small local shopping (bakery or extra shopping only – no shopping at the supermarket).
A domestic worker intervenes twice a week for the maintenance of the apartment.
Requirements
The family is looking for a candidate with the following qualities:
- Proven experience in a similar position (nanny, children's housekeeper or nanny/housekeeper).
- Bilingual French / English.
- Sincere interest in the development and fulfillment of children.
- Positive, smiling, dynamic and committed personality.
- Maturity, sense of responsibility and ability to make decisions.
- Ability to set a frame with firmness and benevolence.
- Excellent organizational skills and sense of anticipation.
- Reliability, discretion and high professionalism.
- Very good presentation.
- Punctuality and attention to detail.
- Good relationship with parents and fluid communication.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
- Verifiable references required.
Work conditions
- Permanent contract / 35 hours per week.
- Location: Paris 6th arrondissement.
- Start date: As soon as possible
Opening hours:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm
- Wednesday: 9:30 am – 9:00 pm (with 30-minute break)
Leave:
- 6 weeks of paid leave
- To be taken when the family is away (usually one week per school holiday and 3 weeks in August)
Flexibility:
- Possibility of paid overtime.
- Occasional presence in the evening or at weekends (exceptional).
- Possible one-off adjustments (sick child, professional imperatives), anticipated as much as possible.
Salary
Between €38,460 to €46,155 gross per year, depending on experience and profile.
