Job description

A family residing in Luxembourg is seeking a versatile Administrative Governess to support Madame and her son in the organization of their daily life.

This hybrid role combines administrative and logistical support for Madame and her son (a teenager) with oversight of the smooth daily running of the household. The person recruited will play a key role in maintaining balance and efficiency within the family’s lifestyle.

The ideal candidate is structured, attentive, meticulous, and highly organized, capable of working within a demanding private environment while demonstrating discretion and professionalism at all times.

The family lives in an apartment in Luxembourg, within a well-established household organization that includes a housekeeper and a private chef. The Governess will work in coordination with the existing team.

The position is full-time, live-out, and to be filled as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

Administrative and Organizational Support 

  • Managing and updating Madame’s agenda.
  • Organizing and scheduling appointments (medical, hairdresser, maintenance, etc.).
  • Researching information and following up on various administrative matters.
  • Coordinating daily logistical arrangements.
  • Organizing travel and making reservations when required.

 

Household Coordination and Logistics

  • Liaising with the household team and coordinating tasks when needed.
  • Managing deliveries, parcels, and small daily purchases.
  • Coordinating with service providers and suppliers.
  • Assisting occasionally with the organization of private receptions or events.

 

Daily Support

  • Anticipating the needs of Madame and her son.
  • Assisting with the overall organization of the household.
  • Adapting to ad hoc requests from the family.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in a similar position with private families, family offices, or high-end environments.
  • Experience combining household management and administrative responsibilities.
  • Meticulous, organized, and highly structured individual.
  • Excellent anticipation and priority management skills.
  • Absolute discretion and strong sense of confidentiality.
  • Dynamic, attentive, and professional personality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with household staff.
  • Service-oriented mindset and positive attitude.

 

Languages

  • Fluent French is essential
  • Spanish strongly preferred
  • Portuguese or any additional language is considered an asset

Work conditions

  • Position: Administrative Governess
  • Location: Luxembourg
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Working hours: Full-time – 40 hours per week
  • Flexibility: Required depending on the family’s needs
  • Start date: As soon as possible

Salary

In line with the market and depending on the candidate’s experience.
