Laundress Jobs & Vacancies
When you work as a laundress, you may find yourself working in a home, hospital, hotel or care home. You’ll need to provide clean bedclothes and towels for people who stay there every day. Most of your day will be spent on your feet so it’s important to be prepared to be standing or walking for most of the day.
As a laundress or wardrobe manager, you will be operating washing machines and tumble dryers and dry items like clothes, towels, bed lined, uniforms and sportswear. You may also work in the laundry department of organisations like hotels, universities and hospitals – even shops that provide specialist laundry services.
