What are the responsibilities of a Gamekeeper?
Gamekeepers are responsible for the upkeep of animals bread on the large estate, they control pheasants, partridges, hares, etc, look after the woods and fields on the estate in the interest of hunting or fishing.
They are very hands-on, calm and patient, must have strong health and safety knowledge, strong theoretical thinking to develop plans for managing the game, be a team player and precise shooting skills. Gamekeepers must have some type of countryside and environment certificate/diploma, clean drivers licence and a gun licence.
