Lovely family living in Dallas, Texas, USA, is looking to hire an experienced and innovative Traveling live-out Private Chef (M/F) to prepare meals for the couple with occasional extended family members and guests joining.
The family moves to beach location in the Northeast for the summer months. The candidate is expected to travel and perform similar duties at the summer location (housing provided and all costs covered).
The ideal candidate has a passion for creating delicious meals and knows how to develop original menu items that reflect clients preferences.
Position to be filled as soon as possible - must live locally. Full Time, permanent role

Vacancy duties and responsibilities
- Develop weekly meal plans that accommodate client preferences and expectations.
- Order ingredients and any other material needed for meal preparation and examine accuracy and freshness.
- Weekly grocery shopping at local vendors and online.
- Prepare meals within a scheduled timeframe: client expectations are for fresh dinner preparation approximately four times a week while providing ready-made meals for lunches and snacks.
- Cook delicious meals of gastronomic quality according to clients schedules including dinner approximately four times a week
- Cook and prepare ready-made meals for lunches, breakfasts and snacks.
- Plate and serve the meals for clients and guests.
- Kitchen Maintenance
- Preparation of meals for the couple
- Keep the refrigerator / pantry / kitchen area well stocked clean and tidy at all times.
- Use of seasonal, fresh and organic products
- Keep the kitchen cooking area pristine and always keep utensils and cooking equipment organised.
- Keeping track of expenses with reporting to the employer
Profile requirement
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role in a private household.
- Preference for CIA degree.
- Food safety training or certification is a must.
- Knowledge of a variety of dietary lifestyles and restrictions, with emphasis on healthy diet plans including high protein and vegetarian options in frequent rotation.
- Ability to cook a wide assortment of different types of cuisines.
- Fine and gastronomic cooking skills and experience.
- Great flexibility to travel required.
- Sense of responsibility and autonomy required.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
- Living near the SMU area as this is a live-out position
Conditions

- Location: Dallas, Texas - Nantucket, Massachusetts in summer
- Employment contract: Permanent - full time
- Working hours: 40 Hours/week, plated dinner service 4 times a week (generally Monday to Thursday, but flexible upon request, occasional week-end work required.

- Trial period: 1 month renewable
Travelling Private Chef Cook Salary
Salary starts at 90 000 $ gross annual and depends of the candidate profile and experience.
