More Information

A personal assistant (PA), also known as an executive secretary, personal secretary, or assistant, tends to work closely with various staff to provide administrative support, usually one-on-one. They assist senior staff in keeping track of their calendars, reducing their workload, and ensuring that the workplace runs smoothly, making this a critical role that cannot be neglected.

A personal assistant (PA) performs basic administrative tasks on behalf of a single person, as opposed to an administrator, who is responsible for a team. This person is typically a manager or executive in a for-profit, not-for-profit, or public-sector organization. A PA’s role is to free up an executive’s time from administrative responsibilities so that they can focus on strategic tasks.
