Our return client based in Lagos, Portugal is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Handyman/Houseman who would contribute to the well-being and smooth operation of a prestigious UHNW family estate.
As a Handyman / Houseman at this luxurious property, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the property are maintained to the highest standards.
This is a full-time permanent role starting as soon as possible.

Vacancy duties and responsibilities
Automobiles:
Surf Gear:
Outside Duties:
- Ensure all automobiles are fueled and maintained in a clean, pristine condition (both exterior and interior).
- Keep a stock of bottled water and tissues in the vehicles.
- Prepare cars for the Principals' needs, whether for the day or evening.
Surf Gear:
- Regularly check, clean, and re-hang surf gear to dry.
- Charge equipment as needed.
Outside Duties:
- Responsible for garbage runs and ensuring proper recycling separation.
- Monitor and maintain the swimming pool, spa, and cold plunge.
- Provide driving services as required.
- Water and care for outdoor plants.
- Assist the housekeeper with various tasks, including window washing, outdoor cleaning, and dry cleaning runs.
- Additional cleaning duties such as vacuuming, kitchen assistance, and dishwashing as needed.
- Wash dishes and utensils as required.
- Set and clear the table.
- Run and empty the dishwasher.
Profile requirement
- Eligible to work and reside in Portugal or the EU.
- Previous experience in a similar role with excellent references
- Detail-oriented individual with a proactive approach and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, calm, and hard-working person
- Fluent in English and Portuguese (Spanish will be a bonus)
Conditions
- Working days: 5 days on, 2 days off per week.
- Flexibility required when the family is in residence (approximately 50% of the time).
- Significant downtime when the family is away traveling.
- Accommodation provided in a shared staff apartment (with a separate bedroom and bathroom).
- Meals provided while on duty.
- 1 month paid vacation
Handyman Salary
A generous salary will be offered to the right candidate, to be discussed during the hiring process.
