Our client, located near Vevey, Switzerland, is looking for a Caregiver who speaks both English and French to provide care for a 21-year-old young adult with a mitochondrial disease.
Full-time permanent position.
Position available as soon as possible, with accommodation.

Vacancy duties and responsibilities
- Follow a prescribed healthcare program, which may include assisting with therapeutic exercises and medication administration.
- Assist with personal care and hygiene (bathing, grooming, dressing).
- Help the patient with mobility (assisting with getting in and out of bed, a chair, or a wheelchair) both at home and outside.
- Assist the patient with feeding.
- Provide daily emotional support and encouragement.
- Transport or accompany the young man to medical appointments and other outings.
- Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, and needs.
- Plan daily activities based on the young man's interests.
- Provide assistance during travel (packing, mobility support, companionship, etc.).
- Act quickly and responsibly in case of emergencies.
- Maintain daily communication with the parents.
- Communicate and interact in English with the young man.
Profile requirement
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in caring for patients with serious illnesses.
- Naturally cheerful and smiling disposition.
- Ability and desire to convey a positive and contagious outlook on life.
- Proven ability to work as a team and collaborate effectively with others.
- Professional attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Desire and willingness to adapt to and meet the patient's needs.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, observation, and commitment to ensure the young man feels safe and comfortable.
- Respond promptly and positively to the young man's requests for assistance.
- Good time management with physical endurance.
- Maintain discretion with the employer.
- Required to have a driver's license.
- Mobility and flexibility to travel within Europe and internationally.
- Proficiency in both English and French.

Caregiver Salary
71,000 CHF per year
