French Governess Job and Vacancy


​A Governess - Native French speaker is needed for a HNW Russian family living in Luxembourg. The Governess will teach a child (6 year-old girl) languages (French and English), etiquette and self-discipline. The family is looking for someone gentle and kind but strict and precise at the same time. The candidate is required to have an experience of working for VIP families, have perfect knowledge of French and good knowledge of English. 

Requirements
  • 3 or more years of experience working for HNW families
  • Experience of teaching children
  • College degree
  • Education in childcare will be an advantage
  • Native French and good knowledge of English, Russian would be a plus
  • Music skills (piano, violin…)
  • Good communication skills
  • Motivation skills
  • Gentle but strict (when needed)

Duties and responsibilities
  • Providing French and partly English lessons to the child
  • Communicating with the girl in French/English
  • Communicating with the parents in English/Russian
  • Teaching a child of etiquette, discipline and proper care of her belongings
  • Giving a child instruction in music (Piano, violin) 
  • Needlework with the child
  • Singing and drawing with the girl
  • Walking with a girl
  • Stimulating the girl’s development 
  • Reading books with the child
  • Teaching the girl of personal hygiene and basic security measures
  • Discussing with parents all the issues related the child’s upbringing, development of the child and her social life

Schedule
  • Monday to Friday
  • 10am – 8pm
