Our your professional client and her family based in Franschhoek, near Cape Town, in the Western Cape of South Africa requires a live-in Head Housekeeper & Cook to join their residential staff as an overall hands on, responsible and proud member.
The Housekeeper will be responsible for the daily cleaning of his newly refurbished property with large entertainment & family areas. The Housekeeper will have excellent culinary skills and able to prepare basic meals for principle and for her family.
The ideal candidate will be of a continual pleasant demeanour, be an all-rounder, energetic with good attention to details. A can-do attitude at all times while no task is too large. Ability to take direction well and fulfil the standards of the principal.
A very upmarket property with large dimensions requires a keen eye for detail. The candidate must have a driver’s licence and be able & willing to run all errands for the family.
This position is live-in and stunning accommodation is provided in the form of an apartment.

Vacancy duties and responsibilities
- Daily and deep cleaning of all the rooms in the house: Vacuuming, Mopping, Deep cleaning at least once a week
- Maintain fine furnishings, antiques and collective art.
- Daily change of bed linens, sheets, towels
- Laundry and ironing of clothing and linens, caring for fine garments
- Cooking for the family
Profile requirement
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working within private families
- Valid certificate for cooking, including experience
- Excellent oral and writing communication skills in English
- Being responsible, efficient, discreet and organised
- Good hospitality
- Good manners and strong attention to detail
- Experience in a luxury home with fine finishes & technologies
- Trustworthiness
- Proactive and flexible
- Must have correct paperwork if not an RSA Citizen (ie. Work permit)

- Apartment & use of vehicle included
- Employment contract: Full time contract, 6 days a week, hours may vary as flexibility is required
