Our client is looking to hire a Travelling Private Chef Cook with VIP families and high end restaurant/hotel experiences. This position would be based 7 months a year in Portugal and the rest of the year travelling in Europe with the Principals (mainly to London, Switzerland and South of France).
The private chef would be required to cook a diversified, healthy and Vegetarian cuisine, preferably mediterranean using organic, fresh and locally sourced ingredients (occasionally pescatarian).
The ideal candidate must be able to travel with the Principle when required, must be flexible and independent. We are looking for very hygienic, easygoing and pleasant candidates.
This position is live-in and a self contained appartement/accommodation would be provided in each location.

Vacancy duties and responsibilities
- Prepare and serve breakfast lunch and dinner for the Principles
- Menu planning according the Principals’ preferences
- Create shopping lists
- Clean kitchen after use
- Keep storage of products
- Ensure cupboards and fridge are clean and organised
- Diligence in food safety and food preparation
- Good knowledge of Vegetarian and healthy cuisine as well as International cuisine
- Being COVID “conscious” and following all COVID protocols (deep cleaning, sanitising, etc)
Profile requirement
- Experienced candidates with a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in private households and/or in restaurants/hotel
- Right to work in Portugal
- Availability and flexibility
- Trustworthy
- Outgoing yet discreet and professional
- Strong work ethic – willing to work hard to impress and can demonstrate a high level of
commitment - Experience with Vegetarian, pescatarian, Mediterranean and International cuisine
- Professional and Adaptable
- Able to work independently
- Must work in a clean and tidy manner maintaining the kitchen to high standards
- Must be very aware of food safety, hygiene and ensure food rotation is managed
- Open to travel with principals

Private Chef Cook Salary
Negotiable depending on the candidate’s experience
