Domestic couple Vacancy in Clamecy, France Description

A family requires the appointment of a domestic couple in Clamecy, (58), Bourgogne, France in order to maintain their household in excellent condition. The ideal couple will have excellent knowledge and proven experience in gardening and housekeeping.

This live-in position is available immediately with a permanent contract (CDI).

Vacancy duties and responsibilities

  • Cleaning, dusting and maintaining the house
  • Good knowledge of cleaning products and their use
  • Management of product and supply inventory
  • Taking care of the laundry (ironing, folding and organizing a proper storage)
  • Laundry expertise required
  • Good knowledge of specific fabric and their cleaning requirements
  • Having strong knowledge of French cuisine
  • Table setting and informal service
  • Preparing breakfast for the family
  • Reporting technical issues or malfunctions in the property
  • Garden maintenance (mowing, pruning, clearing, leaf removal)
  • Ensuring equipment and machinery are clean after use, and well stored
  • Using and maintaining hand tools
  • Being responsible of the vegetable garden (soil cultivation, digging, watering, raking, weeding, seed sowing, planting)
  • Airport transfers for the family​

Profil requirement

  • Minimum 5 years experience in private family
  • Speak basic French
  • Speak either English, Italian Portuguese, German or Spanish
  • Discreet and trustworthy candidates
  • Dog lovers
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping and gardening
