Animal Caretaker Job
Private residence located near Yaoundé, Cameroon in Africa, looking for an experienced Animal Manager. The person will be responsible for supervising the maintenance of the animal environment, equipment and materials. Full time position, housed and transported.
Tasks and Responsibilities Animal wellbeing:
- Feed the animals in the prescribed doses and veterinary advice
- Supervise the cleaning of the dogs
- Supervise the cleaning of cats, parrots, birds, macaws, pelicans and turtles
- Supervise the cleaning of their respective places of life (kennels, pens, agility park, cages)
- Exercise and dog training Animal Health: Be constantly attentive to the health of the animals, in collaboration with the veterinarian
- Proceed to the daily toilets of the animals
- Ensure the medical follow-up of animals (drops, cream) Regularly cats and dogs
- Ensure the good cohabitation of all animals
- Administrative follow: Directs the activity of the animals and their assistance and advice
- Develops team schedules and ensures schedules are respected
- Assure the transfer as well as the development of the skills of the team and proceed to the annual evaluations
- Ensure that animal records are continually updated
- Provide advice to teams to facilitate breeding
- Enter all the data in the computer server
- Monitor inventory by regular inventories
- Take knowledge of the procedures, make sure that the teams follow them
- Profile Level of study Bac; Bac + 2 in the field of living 5 years of experience in the canine environment
- Speak English and French Being able to lead a team
- Rigor and sense of organization Pedagogue, integrity, humility Plan the medical follow-up of the animals
- Provide basic care Provide medical or comfort treatments
- Control pack incidents
- Know how to use the products, equipment and tools available
- Develop procedures and carry out reports Love to work outdoors
