Private Residential Chef Job


Our business professional and his family require the services of a Private Chef who specializes in authentic Indian & Asian cuisine for their household and receptions within the daily duties and high level of services in Bryanston, Johannesburg, South Africa.

​In addition, this very demanding but very rewarding position, requires the Private Chef to always be at the disposal of his/her employer for a range of private and corporate functions as pre-arranged.
 
As representative of the household, the Private Chef will be required to step into any staff position in the home during cases of absence or emergency.
 
Responsibilities and Duties: Not Limited 

  • A MUST – preparation of authentic Indian and Asian cuisine; 
  • Possess the knowledge and skills to prepare Indian desserts; 
  • Prepare various other meals as requested by the Company; 
  • Prepare week menu in advance in including breakfast, lunch and dessert and if required dinner, which will include starter, main meal and dessert; 
  • Bake pastries, biscuits etc. for clients, meetings and visitors; 
  • Ensure that the kitchen is clean and hygienic at all times; 
  • Ensure that there is sufficient stock in the kitchen for the preparation of the meals; 
  • Ensure that the required stock is purchased when same is depleted; 
  • Ensure that the presentation of the meals are of a standard acceptable to the Company; 
  • Be hygienic and presentable in his person at all times; 
  • Willing to travel local and international with Employer when requested; 
  • Be prepared to work at the Employer’s various homes and properties; 
  • The above-mentioned duties may be updated, and expanded on from time to time. 
 
Academic & Trade Qualifications: 

  • High school graduate 
  • Relevant Certification in Culinary Arts 
 
Work experience / Skills & Other: 

  • Proven experience with contactable references 
  • 2 or more years related experience 
  • Valid Passport
