Private family office are usually responsible for the management of all administrative duties relating to their clients and their client's families.
This generally includes managing bank/supplier relations, all correspondence, and household staff contracts and performance across the client's property portfolio.
The office is also expected to handle accounting and expenditure, including household staff salaries and payable taxes on all properties, staff, vehicles etc...
It is not unusual for one member of the family office to be made responsible purely for the client's financial duties, although this is not always the case.
Generally, clients will be extremely busy, high profile individuals such as celebrities, HNW and UHNW, or members of royal families. Private office staff are expected, therefore, to show absolute discretion in the management of their clients' private affairs.

What responsibilities do a Family Office Staff have ?
- Managing administration (invoices, bank statements, expenditure, accounting etc.)
- Managing communications and correspondence (answering letters/emails/phone calls, issuing press releases, granting interviews, acting as spokesperson etc.)
- Managing business affairs, property portfolio, fortune and assets
- Acting as liaison between suppliers, sub-contractors, staff etc.
- Project management
- Topical research, when required
- Managing and recruiting household staff
- Planning and organising family and social events (birthdays, holidays, evening events etc.)
- Providing astute tax and fiscal advice
- Organisation of all administrative documentation
All our Family Office Staff are required to :
- Hold clean criminal records in both their country of employment and country of origin
- Present all certificates and qualifications from training centres and/or schools they attended
- Successfully pass two interview stages
- Provide at least three positive references from previous employers
- Complete professional dossiers containing: CV, cover letter, proof of identity (photocopy or scan), proof of address, proof of the right to work in the country of employment (if applicable), driving license and pay slips from previous professional placements. Candidates should be aware that other documentation may also be required.
